Alumni Meet at New Jersey, USA

What a Spectacular Evening at the MNIT Reunion Gala 2024!

Originally established as Regional Engineering Colleges (RECs) in the early 1960s and later upgraded to National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in 2002 under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007, the NITs were designed to foster regional diversity and national integration across India. Known for their rigorous admission standards, high academic rigor, quality research, and robust industry connections, the NITs also offer a unique cultural experience. During my four years, I deeply appreciated mingling with students from both neighboring and distant states, each bringing their unique cultural, linguistic, and culinary backgrounds. This rich tapestry of diversity provided a vibrant backdrop to our academic pursuits, making my time at the NIT not just an educational journey, but a culturally enriching experience that I cherish deeply.

This week, I had the immense pleasure of attending our MNIT 2024 Reunion Gala at in New Jersey, USA and it was nothing short of magical. Reconnecting with old classmates, college seniors and junior and college super seniors and super juniors brought back so many wonderful memories and showed how far we've all come.

The evening was beautifully orchestrated, with every detail thoughtfully planned—from the elegant setting at Shagun to the delightful live music from 90s that kept us dancing all evening. The connection with the Class of 1996-2003 felt deeply personal. Seeing them immediately makes you want to embrace them. We have so many memories and stories in common...

Shoutout to our ringleader Mahesh Motiramani. It takes lot of energy behind lot of intent to mobilize people to connect. We are glad you are a MNITian and so the other co-organizers-Anju Garg Pankaj Faujdar Jay Mehta Rajneesh Acharya shashank viswanadha. You all are awesome!!

Special thanks to MNIT Director Narayana Prasad Padhy, Dilip Sharma , Dean International and Alumni Affairs, Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur for sending us the video greetings and update on MNIT.

It's not every day you get to step back into your past, while also celebrating how everyone has grown and evolved. Can't wait to see what the next reunion holds!
